Caiden's GIANT owie

Saturday night we decided to go on a "family date". We chose "Old Country Buffet". Yuck. It sounded good before, now I know better. Anyways, we had a fun time. As we were about to leave we all went back to the bathrooms. On the way, Addysin exclaimed, "This is the BEST DATE EVER!" Then no more than a minute later Caiden tripped and wiplash face planted into a sharp wooden door frame! I knew right when I saw him hit that it was going to be bad. I picked him up, flipped him around and saw the giant open dent. We rushed out of there and over to the hospital. I didn't bleed very much for how deep it was, and what I would have expected.

He hates going to the Doctor, especially since he had just had a "traumatizing" experience the day before with getting shots (immunizations) in both legs the days before. He did not do well with that. Every time a nurse or Dr wanted to look at him, he started crying and covered his ears. Chris and I had just bought him a bucket full of Pixar Cars off of Craiglist for his birthday (that was actually the reason we even went to town in the first place that night). We gave him Lightning and Doc and that helped A TON!
They had to put him out with shots in both legs. He screamed out in pain, and thats when I lost it and started crying. He acted like he was being tortured.
When he "came to", the first thing he said was a long drawn out, "Hiiiiiii Moooooommmmmmm", then " Hiiiiii Daaaaaaaddddd". He was SOOOOOOOO HAPPY! Every nurse that walked in after that got a long "Hiiiiiiii!" Look how happy (and drugged) he is in this picture :) They were singing "popcorn". The Dr said that when he could sit up on his own that we could leave. He tryed, but his neck wouldn't hold up his head and he thought it was hillarious. He would say "woooooaaaaahhhhh!".
He went right to bed when we got home at 11:30 pm. During the night he woke up panicing about the pain that was on his face. He even wacked it a couple times, like "get off me!" This is what he looked like the next morning. He was happy  though and didn't let it slow him down. I have had to tell him all week to stop running because chances are very good that he'll hit it again. Curse of the big head.
7 stitches. Four days later... healing up really well. Tommorrow we have to go back to have them removed. They said they are going to strap him to a board so he cant move. Oh gosh, I am DREADING it! Can we just put him out with that happy drug again?

I wished they had put Cameron out when he had stitches. They strapped him to a board. That is the worst!! To bad the stitches are up and down and not side to side! The scar will show more!!
