I began the HUGE overwhelming task of cleaning up our new yard in April. The gardens and flower beds were covered in leaves and debris from all the wind we have around here, and not to mention we live on a dairy so, weirdly, there was also tons of straw. The spring rain and warm weather had brought out tons of weeds. It took me hours and hours to get it all done. My pregnant body ached at the end of every day, but I found out that I actually love doing yard work! The kids loved being outside and would be so worn out in the evening. This is Caiden waiting for dinner after a long day outside. He just couldn't last another 10 minutes.
This is another day that I was outside mowing and Chris was inside. It definitely made me smile when I walked inside. They weren't even watching TV :)
My parents left this old bike here when they moved and it is the perfect fit for Addysin. She loved it... until she wrecked while turning on gravel. She's not one to "get back on the horse".
Addysin is totally obsessed with holidays and birthdays. She found out it was Emily's birthday one night just before bedtime. She begged for the next three days to make a cake and have a party for Emily. So three days after her birthday she made this cute sign, wrapped up "Wacky Wednesday" (from off our bookshelf) in a blanket, and we made a cake.
Addysin was very satisfied after that.
18 weeks
On our way to town to find out the gender of our baby!
I thought it was a boy, and Addysin has always said it IS a girl. I was worried that she would be mad about a boy, phew! And PS- Addysin has named her Minnie and has her mind totally set on it. The first name she came up with when we first found out I was pregnant was "Addysin", then "Repunzel". So "Minnie" was actually a step up.
We made peanut butter eggs in preparation for Easter. Very time consuming, by the way.
Look what the Easter bunny brought! Yeah, he went overboard but these are things I have wanted for the kids for a while. Helmets for both, a baby for Addysin, scooter for Caiden, and sand box toys.
I love Christmas and Easter morning when the kids get to wake up to presents. Its sooo much fun for me to watch them see their new stuff!
I hosted our Bleazard Easter party since I live in "the party house" now. Due to wind, we stayed inside. This room can hold sooooo many people. We've never had a house that can hold so many in the same room. We had about 50 people here and did a BBQ and potluck. As always, tons of great food!
Caiden following Chris around picking up anything Chris pointed out. So cute!
Addysin was reaching in the bush for an egg until she saw a spider web.
My cousins daughter, Lizzy, and Addysin became great friends this weekend. They, unfortunately, live in Seattle so we dont see them much. It was so fun for her!
An example of what Chris and I have to do through ALLLLLL of sacrament meeting. Caiden is so funny about movies, like how he likes to carry around the cases. He also FORCES us to draw these two things over and over and over for the entire first hour of church. The first time I did it for him, he was hooked. Sometimes we'll will really put a lot of time into shading and making it super pro because we know as soon as we're done, he demands another one. Chris has also drawn Goofy, Buzz Lightyear, and Woody REALLY well. Caiden just stands there, literally frozen, watching every detail- occasionally picking out a new marker color for us. He then carries the paper with him for the next 2 hours of church. Everyone that sits behind us each week comments on our drawing skills, and how good Caiden is in Church.
This is what happens to little boys with no brothers...
Addysin loves Emily so much. This is just before her Prom date picked her up. Addysin thought she looked like a princess.
