need freezer jam recipe
Please help me asap. I bought 8 things of strawberries for $8 total at Macy's! What a steal. They are usually like $2.50 each. You have to buy the whole box though to get the deal (meaning you cant buy one for $1, or three for $3). Well, now I have a bunch of strawberries and I need a delicious freezer jam recipe ASAP so I can make it Saturday or Sunday. I like recipes that are lower sugar, or at least dont taste too sugary. Call me, or post it in the comments. Thanks!

My Favorite Jam recipe is in the pack of pectin. You need to buy Pectin to make the jam and the best recipe is in the box. There are 2 different kinds of pectin...Surgel and pcp or something like that....It doesn't matter which one you buy but I prefer the pcp! Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more info.
THAT IS AWESOME! I just bought four things of strawberries for $16.00, and that was on sale :) That is the down side to living in Hawaii :(

The best low sugar freezer jam recipe is sure jell brand. So... go back to Maceys :) get a couple of boxes of Reduced Sugar Surejell Pectin and follow the recipe on the box! (That's what I do) YUMMY!

Andrea, I just made jam and it's super yummy and easy! You can buy the Pectin packets at a grocery store. Sure Jell or Fruit Jell both of which call for less sugar. Most of the packets come with the recipes on the back or on a paper in the box. Hope that helps! So all you need are the berries, the pectin, and jars:)
I just made Raspberry jam and it turned out YUM. I think using the Certo liquid pectin made it better than the powder stuff. I just followed the recipe that came in the box. Lots of sugar though...last year I tried it with Splenda and it got really runny. Good luck!! :)
I made freezer jam with my mother-in-law and we just used the recipe that came with the pectin. So, just buy a box of pectin. Good Luck
I used the store bought gel and just added a little sugar to that and the strawberrys. It was all on the package and it was sooooo yummy. Sweet but not super sugary tasting.

Go and look at the different pectin boxes. There are some that are low sugar. The box will have a recipe on it. Follow that one to get the best jam.

Just to let you know they are only $0.88 cents at wal mart. :) i know you arent a crazy wal mart fan but I just thought i would let you know. By the way, when you find a good recipe let me know, i want it too :)
