The Breakfast of Champions... cookies

Addysin and I went to bed too late last night and when she woke up this morning I wasn't quit ready to get up so I let her play in our room while I "rested". She was being so quiet and I paniced and thought "where is she?!" I looked over on the floor and saw her eating all of the chocolate chips out of the cookies that were in my purse from last night. She was so happy with herself.

I joined her and ate some of the cookie parts that she didn't want. Honestly, who doesn't love cookies for breakfast? Maybe I'm just a sugar addict.

Hoover Dam

Last sunday we drove about 1/2 hour to see Hoover Dam. It was really cool, and amazing that it was built in the 30's. It was a HOT day (like 108 degrees). Of course we forgot the stroller, but we weren't there too long and we had 6 different people to pass Addysin between. It was a fun sunday outing. I have never wanted to jump in a lake as bad as I did that day though.

Ok, a few facts:

It took 4 years to build
Lake Mead took 6 years to fill
The dam is on the border of Nevada and Arizona

Utah... I love being home

Addysin and I came back to Utah this week. We spent three weeks in Vegas with Chris. They were 3 fun and hard weeks. Due to her going to bed so late and then the sun shining right in our windows at 5:30am, and on top of that our bedroom situation (see my previous post for details), Addy and I got very limited sleep. Usually 5-6 hours was about all and we woke up every hour during that precious time. I felt like death every morning and evening. It was so fun to be in the sunshine at the pool and to be able to see Chris every morning and night. I also had some fun girlfriends there to hang out with during the day. The best part was they are in love with Addysin and would babysit her while I went grocery shopping or just took a nap! Thank you Jamie and Amanda Jo!

After getting such poor sleep and having a grouchy little girl everyday, I was a little ready to come home. I was so sad to leave Chris and maybe shed a few tears on the way home, but honestly what doesn't make me emotional these days. I knew this was what was best for us. And besides, Chris flew to Chicago that same day for the week so I didn't have a reason to stay.

Anyways, here is the cutest story. Addysin was asleep when we pulled in so I carried her upstairs and layed her in her crib. Just then she cracked her eyes open and was about to cry but then looked around and saw that she was in her crib in her home! She smiled and kicked her legs. I picked her up and she was sooo happy. She couldn't stop talking and pointing at everything. I can just imagine what she was saying..."mom, this is my room! Look at all of my stuff, cool, wow!" The funniest thing was she had to hold this random bear that is sitting up on a high shelf and she has never even held it before. She cuddled it like it was her long lost toy.

Ohhh, my little girl is starting to have a memory of things she loves! She loves her home and she has been sleeping like a gem! You know what that means? So have I!

Our funny little girl

Here are some CUTE baby boy clothes I bought a month ago. I usually dont love boy clothes as easily as girl clothes but when I was at Babies R Us everything was looking so cute and cuddly. I cant wait to put him in the two middle outfits because they are newborn size and will fit right off. The striped one is shorts, not a skirt like it looks. Aparently I was liking red that day. This is how exhausted Addysin was while we were in Vegas (p.s. we're back!). She has never done this before. I was doing dishes and she just layed down on the ground with her blanket and fell asleep. Getting her to sleep was really hard there because she would be soooo tired that she would cry and whine instead of falling asleep. I was so relieved when I saw her... it was one less thing for me to do.
The last week we were there I found all her favorite shows on Playhousedisney.com and she would sit there for an hour (at least) and watch. She wouldn't even press the keys. She LOVES "My Friends Tigger and Pooh", "Little Einsteins", "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse", & "Handy Manny". And I mean LOVES them. They are cute cartoons and not annoying. They also sing songs that she loves. Actually, she just loves any music.
Ok, look past the cute face and at all her wounds. First let me just say that I CANNOT take a shower without her bawling her eyes out because she wants in, even if I just gave her a bath 5 minutes before. So I have two stories, both happened this week.

1. In vegas we had a tub/shower and she would sit at the back and play while I showered (keep in mind that if Chris or I dont let her in she will try climbing in fully clothed). This incident happened with Chris. She was sitting there and a shampoo bottle fell right below her right eye and made it bleed. Chris was yelling for me and I was so scared, but it turned out to not be that bad. It surprisingly didn't swell up, nor did she get a black eye.
2. Then 2 days later, back in Utah in our stand up shower, she cryed and cryed so I let her in the shower. Happy as can be, she stood up and took a step on the slippery ground and face planted on her lip with her front tooth. The spirit told me it was going to happen 2 seconds before and I ignored it. I frantically dried us off and she was screaming. Her mouth was full of blood. I thought "how am I going to get to the hospital like this" (Chris wasn't there to help us). I let her suck on a wet rag and that helped. Then she suddenly stopped crying and was tasting the blood. She was nodding her head in approval (thats what she does when she likes something tasty). Her lip instantly had swelled up and she obviously couldn't feel it because she was biting it and making it worse. I have never been so thankful for the blanket she sucks on than I was right then. That was the only way I could get her to stop biting it. So anyways, it stopped bleeding pretty quick and she fell right to sleep. Thank goodness. By morning the swelling was gone.

Ok, you think she has learned that showering is dangerous with us? NO, of course not! She still crys like she is going to die through my whole shower. But dont worry, I dont give in anymore.

26 Weeks

Wow, this pregnancy is going by really fast and I'm so glad. From here on is when my aches really bother me though and I dont sleep well at all. I cant wait for those pains to go away in 3 months, but then I'll have a whole new set of pains. Maybe in 5 months i'll be feeling good, yay! Here is another reason I'm not sleeping top notch. Just look at the pictures...

We are staying in the living room of our friends Jamie and Leo while I'm here in Vegas for a couple of weeks. Its not bad at all but just not like having a bedroom, and seperate from Addysin. We have a super nice air mattress with a memory foam mattress topper so its super comfy. Everytime addysin lets out the smallest cry in her sleep though I wake up (and its A LOT during the night). We have this nice little cutout that is "her bedroom" and our place for all of our stuff.

Its been a challenge with Addysin, but its worth it so we can be with Chris for part of the summer. This will be the last summer of moving around though. Yeah, I know we said that last summer, but really... next summer we are not moving. Our family is getting too big. Weird...Chris and I have a family :) That just make me laugh, and so happy!

My Family- The Bleazards

I was just looking through pictures on my computer and I saw this one of my family. Its a year and 5 months old, but the most recent. I love my family! There are 8 girls and 2 boys. I have 2 in-laws (a brother and sister), 3 nephews now, 1 neice, and another one on the way from Melanie!
Congratulations to Kara! She just got engaged to her boyfriend Adam!!!

Kara is the 2nd one from the left in thepicture. They dont have a wedding date yet, but I'll be sure to post it once they know.

I want to show you Chris' side of the family, The Lee's, but we dont have a picture. We are getting one though in July when we have a family reunion. I'm really excited.

Las Vegas we're back

Well "summer" has started which means Chris is hard at work selling and managing a summer sales group. He works for Security One selling residential and commercial security systems. Its a great job and he only has to work hard for 1/3 of the year so he can go to school the rest of the year. Previous summers we lived in North Carolina and Minnesota. This summer its Las Vegas. Its so nice that its only 5-6 hours from Orem so we are going to be back and forth a lot. For now I am in Vegas with Chris. My summer will be full of traveling between Vegas, Utah, and Washington. Its been a little hard for me and Addysin to adjust to different sleeping arrangements but it definitly has gotton better the longer we've been here. I will post pictures soon of our apartment.

Here are some random pictures I've taken since we've been here. Of course they are all of Addysin. Here she is with her new baby boy. She is soooo cute with him. I hope she learns some things from having it. Sometimes I hold it and rock it like a baby so she will get used to the idea. She just gets jelous that I am holding her baby and comes and takes him away. Yes, she is still very attached to her blanket, probably even more than ever. I am in no hurry to wean her of it. It works like a charm to get her to sleep and calms her down everytime she gets hurt, which is really often.

Wow, I cant believe how warm/hot it is here. Its instantly summer for us. I think its usually somewhere around 75-90 degrees and always sunny. We've been to the pool a couple of times but the water was too cold so I didn't put addysin in. We just hung out outside of the pool and blew bubbles. This is her beach chair that she fell off of too many times so we'll wait a couple more months to pull it out again. she really loves it though.
And for fun we stuffed her swim suit so she could be like the big girls. She liked it and wanted me to put all 4 of the squishy balls in her swim suit.

Kara's graduation

Things have been really busy, and fun, for me the past few weeks (which is the reason I haven't updated this in so long). My sister Kara graduated from the MBA program at BYU at the end of April so my family came down to Utah for a couple of days. Well my mom flew here before everyone else (on Monday April 21) and the rest of the family drove down on Thursday. They left on Sunday so it was a really short trip but tons of fun. I'm so mad at myself for not taking pictures while they were here. Sorry family! Here are some from the restraunt we ate at after graduation. Its called "Cracker Barrell" and was really down homey. I was sad to say goodbye to them when they all left.

Sunglasses for Spring!

Addysin loves to wear sunglasses or my regular glasses. I decided to get her some that fit her face. She had to put them on in the store and wear them with the tag still on like this. It was so funny with her sitting in the shopping cart. She was so happy.
Kissy face.

Cute cute

Sometimes when I start adding new posts I just cant stop. I just downloaded a bunch of pictures today and I'm picking out the cutest one to share with you. Here is Addysin waking up from a nap. She is usually standing up and waiting for me to come get her but this time she just sat there dazed and sleepy. It was so precious.
This is a few mintues later. Its such a funny cheezy picture. No, I didn't pose her like that.
She LOVES to dip. This is a blueberry bagel with cream cheese getting dipped in prunes... weird.

Intramural Spring Football

On Saturday Chris had his last football game. He plays with a bunch of guys from the Connell/Basin City area. They have played for 2 years (4 seasons) together on an intramural team. They barely lost to the other team and it was the only game they lost this season. It was the semi-finals. Last spring they won the championship game. It was such a nice day on Saturday-definitly the nicest day we have had this year. We were only outside about an hour and got sun burnt!

Cute little stander. Its so weird to see her stand by herself. This is one of the shirts She wore last summer! She used to be in the 90 percentile for her weight and now she is only 28%.Family picture with baby @ 22 weeks.

Finally walking!

Addysin is 16 months and finally walking. She actually started about a month ago but has now got the hang of it a little better. She still hasn't fully converted but she walks around a lot. She hasn't figured out how to stand up by herself (like if she's in the middle of the floor) so she'll reach out to me and whine and then once I stand her up she's like "let go" and takes her hands out of mine. Last night was so cute. It was her bedtime but she was so excited to be walking. She would walk as far as possible in our upstairs. She would start at the corner of one room and walk to the other side of the house. She looked like a little zombie. Here's a video of her last night.

Conference weekend

This weekend was really fun with a lot to do. On friday I went to see Chris' sister Becca throw javelin (for BYU) in the track meet. She won, yay! Then I rushed to Chris' intramural football game at BYU and they won, as usual. They are ranked number one. Then after that we went to his mission reunion in Orem.
On Saturday Chris made me get out of bed at 7:30 to go to conference in Salt Lake. I woke up with a headache, which is pretty common while I'm pregnant. He was so sweet and rubbed my back for 10 minutes so I could get up and go. We dropped Addy off with friends and went to conference. It was a special session since we got a new prophet (Thomas S. Monson who is totally amazing) and even though we had tickets we didn't get in! We found out that they give out more tickets than there are seats and usually everyone doesn't show up but everyone did this time. There were hundreds, maybe thousands that had tickets and didn't get in. So we watched it in the tabernacle. Afterwards we went to Olive Garden with our friends Tyler and McKendra. Then we spent the rest of the day with Jamie and Leo who had watched Addysin for us. Conference was great and we had a fun day with friends. Good thing Chris drug (is that a word) me out of bed.
Today we got to stay home and watch conference which is really nice, and comfortable. This evening we went to our old seminary teachers house, Brother Jorgensen, and saw some people we went to high school with. Thats always fun.
Conference was so good and uplifting. I love listening to all those men and women with the great counsel, teachings, and advice they give.

Heres the big news

Ok, we had our ultra sound today and.......................

ITS A BOY!

Wow huh? We're really excited and let me just say I totally knew it :) Chris thought it was a girl. Its funny cause we got to experience our reactions to the ultrasound guy telling us it was a girl, and then a boy a while later. We thought our baby was a girl for at least 15 minutes and then he changed his mind. Chris was secretly really excited when he pointed out the wee wee, but I could see the expression on his face. Chris was having so much fun looking at his little boy. I'm just nervous that we'll get all set for a boy and he will come out a girl. The cord was throwing everything off and making it difficult to tell. It'll be fun, and if the guy was wrong and we get a girl then I can honestly say that we would be excited anyways.

On the poll where you all voted for the gender, one gender never got ahead of the other more than two. The final vote was:
Girl- 14 votes
Boy- 13 votes

Going private soon

I am going to make my blog private in a month or so because I just have a feeling I should. I'm really dreading the process so we'll see when I get around to it. Also I just wanted to tell everyone so that I can get email addresses from those of you who I dont have or you wont be "invited" to see our blog and I want everyone to be able to see it (that I know). Please post a comment with your email address or email it to me @ andreadawnlee@hotmail.com

p.s. I know I know. Private blogs are the worst because they make it so random, long lost friends cant see you but I dont want strangers reading/seeing everything either. I'm torn.

I just want to blog

Ok, my life has been a little more mellow latley and eveyday I want to post something on here but I dont really have anything new to say. I have two good things to say today:

1. Tommorrow I have my ultra sound at 10am! I'm so excited.

2. Addysin goes to bed at 10 or 11 pm now instead of 1 or 2 am! It has been so nice! That might sound late to some of you but I found that if she goes to bed any earlier then she wakes up earlier. (weird huh?) I just cant get up before 8, sorry, and she will only sleep about 9 hours. Getting up at the crack of dawn by choice just isn't fun for me unless I have somewhere to go (besides downstairs).

Disappointed

I didn't think I would have to schedule my 20 week ultra sound a month ahead of time, but I found out today that it takes a while to get in. The Dr. said we could have it done in a week (or less) and find out the gender of our baby, but we have to wait 2 weeks from today because of scheduling. It was going to be 4 weeks away but they found an opening-phew! I know its not a huge deal but you women know how I feel when you just want to see the little baby and know what sex it is so you can make & buy stuff. I'm so excited, but I wish it was sooner. P.S. I'm 18 1/2 weeks now.

I'm thankful for friends

I have become good friends with so many people in my life. I am so thankful for all of the friends I have had and the happiness they bring to my life. I'm sad that I dont keep in touch with all of them, but thats the way life goes I guess . Its so weird how many changes a person goes through, especially during college years. If you're reading this just know that I am thankful for you, even if we dont talk or see each other often.

Here are some of my good friends from hair school that I got to see last week. Two of them live out of Utah now so it was really fun to reunite. Rachel & Braxton, me & Addysin, Candice & Aiden, Stephanie & Ava (Aiden is Stephs also). Its so funny that we have kids!
Someday they will think this is such a funny picture.

Las Vegas

We just got back from Vegas yesterday and we had a ton of fun. Even though we live only 5 hours away, neither Chris or I had ever been. Security One (who Chris works for) took the managers there for a "retreat". Most everything was paid for which made it even more enjoyable because we got treated really well.
We left Thursday night at 10 pm after I dropped Addysin off in Salt Lake at David & Kira's (thats Chris' brother). THANK YOU SO MUCH DAVID & KIRA FOR WATCHING HER!!! Then we started the drive with our friends Leo & Jamie. We got there at 3 am. This is the way Chris likes to travel for some reason. Its just not a road trip to him unless its in the middle of the night. We stayed at an older, cheaper hotel (because we paid for it) that night.
On Friday we drove around looking at neighborhoods that Chris, Leo and their office will be selling in and saw the Apts. they are living in. Then we checked into the Wynn Hotel which is brand new and so nice. Even the casino was classy. I didn't feel like we were walking through a fair/circus everytime we had to walk through it to get outside like the other hotels. We ate at the buffet at the hotel (so good) for lunch. For dinner we were taken out by Jacob Stocking (Chris' manager) in a limo for steak. That night we went to a show called "The Beattles Love". It was a "Cirque du soliel" which I'm not sure what that means but basically it was beattles music playing the whole time with dancing and acrobatics. We sat in the 4th row. The coolest parts were when they would swing around on ropes/bungees, and climb up the ropes with bare feet and hands and no harness. It made me a little queezy though thinking how high up they were just hanging on with their hands. The show was surprsingly clean. Definitley a family show.
Our room. I loved the pink walls. The hotel kind of had a garden theme.
The huge bathroom. It had a big tub, seperate shower, and a tv.In the Limo.
On top of a building at the restraunt. Me, Chris, Jamie, leo, & Jake. Heres the stage at the show. Those sheer curtains would go up and down. The floor moved in different shapes and different stuff would raise out of the ground like cars, a telephone booth, a bed, people, just all kinds of stuff. Also a lot of big stuff would come down from the ceiling as well. On Saturday the managers had a meeting so Jamie and I went to the pool for a couple hours. It was so beautiful. It was a huge garden and the weather was so warm. I cannot believe that 5 hours south of here it is summer weather. It is hard to be back in cold and dead Utah. At least spring is close! That afternoon we went to the mountain west basketball championship game where BYU played UNLV and we lost in the last few minutes. That night the managers had another meeting so the girls went shopping. Afterwards we walked so far down the strip and saw some fun stuff like the Bellagio water show and NY NY. Everyone except me rode the "Manhattan Express" roller coaster because I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't be good for the baby. They loved it. I love my baby though so I didn't feel left out at all. We had walked so far down the strip so we took a bus back to the hotel.
Ok, not the best picture of us but heres the pool. It was so green.
At each end of this long pool there was a big round pool.At the water show. It goes every 15 minutes and is sincronized to music. Its like watching dancers and firworks all mixed together. At Ny Ny with Leo, Jamie, Ben, & Rachel. On Sunday we drove back and got to pick up Addysin. I missed her so much and dont want to leave her ever again. But to be honest, I had so much fun just doing what I wanted to and only worrying about myself. It was the most relaxing, fun weekend I have had in... well I cant think of anything that compares to it. I'm so happy to be back to being a mom though. And even though Utah is not as warm right now, we're both glad to be back home and doing normal things.

Dance Dance!

Apparently head-banging is a natural instinct. We definitly did not teach her that one. The x-box in her room has actually turned into a blessing for me. Daddy & Addy have bonding time while I blog. Love it. I also love that I can put videos on here.

Big news. Addysin crawled all the way up the stairs tonight by herself. I wouldn't call it exciting news since she has NO IDEA how to go down. Its super scary.

Addy Walking!

Seven Peaks!

I'm so excited I just bought a season pass to seven peaks water park in Provo. Its about 20 minutes away so its not too far. I got a super good deal. I paid $50 for the whole season. If you want to join me this summer, buy a pass! For one admission (adult) for a day, its about $20 so this is a good buy. Buy it online at http://www.sevenpeaks.com/ and use the promo code "VALPAK" to get the same deal. The park opens May 24! P.S. If you have kids under 3 then its free for them!

A little about Addysin

She is now 15 months and finally figured out how to crawl this week but still prefers scooting around on her bum, so I dont think she'll get very good at it. She also took about 3 steps by herself this week! She is really figuring things out now. She loves anything I love. One of my weird pregnancy cravings has been skittles. She just loves any candy.
Sometimes she will put so many in her mouth that she has to spit them out... no self control.
She loves to be in the pantry. Sometimes she will shut herself in there in the dark. Surprisingly she doesn't get scared.
