Cute cute

This is a few mintues later. Its such a funny cheezy picture. No, I didn't pose her like that.
She LOVES to dip. This is a blueberry bagel with cream cheese getting dipped in prunes... weird.
Intramural Spring Football

Cute little stander. Its so weird to see her stand by herself. This is one of the shirts She wore last summer! She used to be in the 90 percentile for her weight and now she is only 28%.

Finally walking!

Conference weekend
On Saturday Chris made me get out of bed at 7:30 to go to conference in Salt Lake. I woke up with a headache, which is pretty common while I'm pregnant. He was so sweet and rubbed my back for 10 minutes so I could get up and go. We dropped Addy off with friends and went to conference. It was a special session since we got a new prophet (Thomas S. Monson who is totally amazing) and even though we had tickets we didn't get in! We found out that they give out more tickets than there are seats and usually everyone doesn't show up but everyone did this time. There were hundreds, maybe thousands that had tickets and didn't get in. So we watched it in the tabernacle. Afterwards we went to Olive Garden with our friends Tyler and McKendra. Then we spent the rest of the day with Jamie and Leo who had watched Addysin for us. Conference was great and we had a fun day with friends. Good thing Chris drug (is that a word) me out of bed.
Today we got to stay home and watch conference which is really nice, and comfortable. This evening we went to our old seminary teachers house, Brother Jorgensen, and saw some people we went to high school with. Thats always fun.
Conference was so good and uplifting. I love listening to all those men and women with the great counsel, teachings, and advice they give.

Heres the big news
ITS A BOY!
Wow huh? We're really excited and let me just say I totally knew it :) Chris thought it was a girl. Its funny cause we got to experience our reactions to the ultrasound guy telling us it was a girl, and then a boy a while later. We thought our baby was a girl for at least 15 minutes and then he changed his mind. Chris was secretly really excited when he pointed out the wee wee, but I could see the expression on his face. Chris was having so much fun looking at his little boy. I'm just nervous that we'll get all set for a boy and he will come out a girl. The cord was throwing everything off and making it difficult to tell. It'll be fun, and if the guy was wrong and we get a girl then I can honestly say that we would be excited anyways.
On the poll where you all voted for the gender, one gender never got ahead of the other more than two. The final vote was:
Girl- 14 votes
Boy- 13 votes

Going private soon
p.s. I know I know. Private blogs are the worst because they make it so random, long lost friends cant see you but I dont want strangers reading/seeing everything either. I'm torn.
I just want to blog
1. Tommorrow I have my ultra sound at 10am! I'm so excited.
2. Addysin goes to bed at 10 or 11 pm now instead of 1 or 2 am! It has been so nice! That might sound late to some of you but I found that if she goes to bed any earlier then she wakes up earlier. (weird huh?) I just cant get up before 8, sorry, and she will only sleep about 9 hours. Getting up at the crack of dawn by choice just isn't fun for me unless I have somewhere to go (besides downstairs).

I'm thankful for friends
Here are some of my good friends from hair school that I got to see last week. Two of them live out of Utah now so it was really fun to reunite.

Las Vegas
We left Thursday night at 10 pm after I dropped Addysin off in Salt Lake at David & Kira's (thats Chris' brother). THANK YOU SO MUCH DAVID & KIRA FOR WATCHING HER!!! Then we started the drive with our friends Leo & Jamie. We got there at 3 am. This is the way Chris likes to travel for some reason. Its just not a road trip to him unless its in the middle of the night. We stayed at an older, cheaper hotel (because we paid for it) that night.
On Friday we drove around looking at neighborhoods that Chris, Leo and their office will be selling in and saw the Apts. they are living in. Then we checked into the Wynn Hotel which is brand new and so nice. Even the casino was classy. I didn't feel like we were walking through a fair/circus everytime we had to walk through it to get outside like the other hotels. We ate at the buffet at the hotel (so good) for lunch. For dinner we were taken out by Jacob Stocking (Chris' manager) in a limo for steak. That night we went to a show called "The Beattles Love". It was a "Cirque du soliel" which I'm not sure what that means but basically it was beattles music playing the whole time with dancing and acrobatics. We sat in the 4th row. The coolest parts were when they would swing around on ropes/bungees, and climb up the ropes with bare feet and hands and no harness. It made me a little queezy though thinking how high up they were just hanging on with their hands. The show was surprsingly clean. Definitley a family show.

In the Limo.
Heres the stage at the show. Those sheer curtains would go up and down. The floor moved in different shapes and different stuff would raise out of the ground like cars, a telephone booth, a bed, people, just all kinds of stuff. Also a lot of big stuff would come down from the ceiling as well.
On Saturday the managers had a meeting so Jamie and I went to the pool for a couple hours. It was so beautiful. It was a huge garden and the weather was so warm. I cannot believe that 5 hours south of here it is summer weather. It is hard to be back in cold and dead Utah. At least spring is close! That afternoon we went to the mountain west basketball championship game where BYU played UNLV and we lost in the last few minutes. That night the managers had another meeting so the girls went shopping. Afterwards we walked so far down the strip and saw some fun stuff like the Bellagio water show and NY NY. Everyone except me rode the "Manhattan Express" roller coaster because I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't be good for the baby. They loved it. I love my baby though so I didn't feel left out at all. We had walked so far down the strip so we took a bus back to the hotel.

At the water show. It goes every 15 minutes and is sincronized to music. Its like watching dancers and firworks all mixed together.
At Ny Ny with Leo, Jamie, Ben, & Rachel.
On Sunday we drove back and got to pick up Addysin. I missed her so much and dont want to leave her ever again. But to be honest, I had so much fun just doing what I wanted to and only worrying about myself. It was the most relaxing, fun weekend I have had in... well I cant think of anything that compares to it. I'm so happy to be back to being a mom though. And even though Utah is not as warm right now, we're both glad to be back home and doing normal things.Wednesday, March 12, 2008
Dance Dance!
Apparently head-banging is a natural instinct. We definitly did not teach her that one. The x-box in her room has actually turned into a blessing for me. Daddy & Addy have bonding time while I blog. Love it. I also love that I can put videos on here.
Big news. Addysin crawled all the way up the stairs tonight by herself. I wouldn't call it exciting news since she has NO IDEA how to go down. Its super scary.

Seven Peaks!

A little about Addysin
She loves anything I love. One of my weird pregnancy cravings has been skittles. She just loves any candy.
Sometimes she will put so many in her mouth that she has to spit them out... no self control.
She loves to be in the pantry. Sometimes she will shut herself in there in the dark. Surprisingly she doesn't get scared.

Chris' two favorite hobbies
2. Chris bought a game called "rock band" that goes with x-box. You can have a guitar player, drummer, and singer. Its actually fun to play sometimes. Chris makes sure that he gets his daily practice in. As you can see he converted Addy's room into the game room this week. I dont know how I feel about that, but Addysin loves to watch. Look at her in her crib. Too bad you cant see her dancing. I usually dont support video games because they are a HUGE waste of time but at least he is kind of developing some musical talent.
Chris & Bryan's birthday party
This is so funny. Chris and I both wore those same shirts last year on his birthday! Funny huh? And NO we didn't plan to all wear cream that day.Monday, February 18, 2008

Addy getting her groove on
Addysin is such a funny girl to watch. She just cracks me up all day long. She decided she loves music, especially commercials and the part on TV shows at the beginning where the actors are shown and sometimes dance. I had to show everyone this. Watch her hands at the end, its hillarious. Well too bad she is so obsessed with our cheap little video camera (that is actually just a digital camera for picture taking which explains the poor qaulity). If she sees me recording her then that is the end of it and she HAS to hold the camera. So that is why this is being recorded from behind... I was being sneeky.
Here is another funny video of her. She is SOOO cute when she does this. Somehow she has already picked up on her motherly instincts. I couldn't figure out where she learned to rock and pat her "babies" untill today at church when she was very intently watching a mom with her baby. She has never liked to be rocked but I think she is figuring out that that is what mommys do and sometimes she will let me rock her. -P.S. She doesn't bite real babies.

Happy Valentines Day!

All about our babies (because we're not exciting to read about)
Addysin is developing so much. Her new favorite word is "uh-oh!" She LOVES to drop everything from her high chair and shopping cart just so she can say it. She has finally learned how to pull herself up on things. You're probably shocked (considering she is 14 months), but she is developing slow and steady. She loves to play in her crib instead of taking naps or going to bed. She sits, kneels, or stands and makes cute sounds that I cant get mad at. She still loves TV, maybe even more now, but I found a lot of educational stuff on "Comcast- On Demand" for kids so its working out really well for both of us. She is finally starting to like being snuggled. We love it.
