Caiden's walking!

Caiden began walking really great at 15 months. It took him about a month to lead up to that day (on video), but now he's speed walking at 15 1/2 months. I'm so happy. He loves it. He's had a permanent bruise on his forhead for almost 3 weeks from face planting, but he's definitly getting a bit better with not going head first into everything.

I love the Holidays!

Most of my family is coming to have Thanksgiving at our house! They get here Tuesday night and I'm soooo excited! Amy and John cant come because of work, and Kara and Adam will miss Thanksgiving day with us, but hopefully will join in the fun this weekend. We've never had Thanksgiving at our house. Hopefully we wont be crammed. We have been fixing up the house getting ready for everyone. YAY!

Just being cute...

This is Addysin's first picture that has structure. She used the magnetic shapes and then drew 2 legs on each. They look like the happy monster band on Playhouse Disney.

Jump!
"This is my frig..."

Lately, she thinks this is a cute face.
So sweet.

Five Diamond Protection

The company that Chris owns is called five diamond protection. Its an alarm sales company. There are 2 other owners as well. After the summer is completed and everyone is paid, they put on a banquet to honor those that finished a hard summer. This years banquet was themed "Monte Carlo". There was dinner, Frappe (fancy name for sprite and raspberry sherbet in a punch bowl, which was a HUGE hit) casino tables, a cookie cake, and dessert. Also awards were given out, then there was a silent auction for tons of stuff, and it ended with the raffle for a TV.

I got to decorate, which I love doing.
A mix of class and vegas. p.s. I dont think Vegas is classy.

The night went really well.

Terrica and Bailey

At the beginning of November, Terrica and Bailey came to visit us for about 5 days. We didn't do a ton, but we tried to do something fun each day. This is the only picture I took of Terrica :) Bailey is 11 months yonger than Addysin and 9 months older than Caiden. She liked to play with both. Pillow talk.
Sarah invited us to go to Jump On It. I dont know if they have this everyday or just the day we went, but it was a parent child time. Each child was $3 and parents free. It was fun. There were a gazzilion trampolines and blow up toys. Like usual, the first half hour Addysin was scared of everything but after she loosened up, she had a lot of fun. Caiden just sat there. I really liked it and would definitly do it again.

First carousel ride for both of them.

Christmas is here!

The day after Halloween, November 1st, Chris put up all the Christmas decorations! I REALLY wanted to wait another week at least but he could not wait. So here he is stringing popcorn, so dedicated. And then he never put it on the tree because Caiden will just make a big mess out of it. But thank you for the effort babe!Making a mess, typical.

Addysin was soooo ecstatic when she woke up from her nap and the Christmas tree was up. She kept saying "where's the star?" She's been watching Mickey's twice upon a Christmas and Pooh's super slueth movie since December of last year. The whole year they have been her favorites. I knew she would be excited about Christmas this year. Finally old enough. And I brain washed her with movies.

The funniest part is we had our neighbors over on Halloween and the next day they come back and BAM! Christmas! All they could say was "wow!"

Thank you Chris for being a Holiday Fanatic, I love it!

Halloween week

On Wednesday we had our Branch party. Some adults dressed up, maybe half. And the kids of course. Addysin HATED it. Even though there was nobody dressed scary, she wouldn't leave my side. So she didn't really have fun. Maybe when shes another year older. It was a great warm up though for Halloween. "Take a Peetcher of me. Cheeeeeez." Princess and the Frog

Rob and Sarah, our next door neighbors.
Their lion.
Seth, Aubrey, & Kenedy- neighbors.
On Friday, it snowed for the first time. Didn't stick. I let my kids out for a minute without their warm clothes. I'm not a bad mom. If you zoom in you can see the snow flakes.
We went up to Park City to stay at the same resort we stayed at for our anniversary. Marriot Mountainside. We shared a condo with our friends Tyler and McKendra. We had a super fun time, but it was a short trip. If only my parents lived down the road and we could have 24/7 babysitters. The kids were fun to bring along though. Addysin always loves staying in new places.
For dinner, the boys made us the best steak I have ever had. Better than Flemmings. Not kidding! We went hot tubbing, watched a movie, and ate ice cream untill 1:00 am. On Saturday morning, we packed up. The kids LOVED riding on the cart. Caiden was so cute. We went to the outlet mall, ate some Taco bell, got home around 4.
Chris insisted on painting a blackeye on himself and this is the only picture I took of him! His creativeness was coming out and he wanted to put makeup on Addysin too.
That didn't work out so I took over.
We went trick-or-treating to a few neighbors, then over to Wade and Donnells. Jack and Traci were there too. They have an amazing new, huge house. We hung out there for a bit.
Jack, Addysin, Drew- She loves them. Their house was THE place for trick-or-treating. There was a constant flow. Caiden helped Jack hand out the candy. Jack was saying the funniest things to the kids. He is not shy at all.
Caiden is really growing up.
That night we had some friends/neighbors over for games. It wasn't "Halloweeny" at all, but I did make cookies so it was almost a party. Dareth and Jesse came over after a costume party. Jesse is from "land of the Lost".
We had a fun week.

Jackson Lee Gorden

Caleb and Becca (Chris' youngest sister) had there baby October 26. He is healthy and looks a lot like his dad, I think. Congratulations guys. Being a parent is a wonderful, life changing thing.

Our sweet Caiden

Fourteen months oldWeight: 22.64 lbs= 30%tile
Height: 31.25 inches= 69.5%tile
Head: 19 inches= 89%tile (of course, he is Chris' son)
Caiden took his first steps at the beginning of October. He doesn't have very good balance or he would be cruising by now. He has now taken about 8 steps on his own! With help, he loves walking all over. His favorite was when he was wearing overalls and I held onto the straps. He thought he was walking on his own. He loves to say "ooooooooo" and point to everything. He says "ma ma" and "da da". He throws major fits when I dont let him destroy a cabinet or play in the garbage and toilet. He LOVES to be mischievious. His greatest joy comes from messing things up and bothering me when I'm trying to get anything done. Chris' mom says that he's not a bad baby. But I feel like he is because Addysin is and has always been so easy. She says that he is normal and Addysin isn't. He loves his pacifier and blanket when hes in bed. He is super tough. He gets hurt about once every hour that he's awake. He doesn't learn not to do it again. He doesn't care for toys or tv. He just likes playing in things he's not supposed to. He is a pretty good eater. He's a great sleeper. He's the cutest little guy. He's basically "Chris Jr." looks wise. He's a turbo crawler. He's great at stairs. He drinks out of a cup. He likes to wrestle with Addysin. He's not a cuddler, but LOVES to always be held. He loves car rides, bike rides in the trailer, and super super loves being outside. He loves dogs. He loves balls. He can throw really well, almost better than Addysin. He started throwing around 9 months. Thats the same time he learned how to sit up. He learned how to crawl around 11 months. He has his 8 front teeth and is getting two top molars. He had colic/acid reflux until I stopped breastfeeing him. Then because he lost my antibodies, he has literally been sick since 8 months old. He usually has a cold, or is teething bad. I caught a glimpse of his sweetness in July before he started teething and wasnt sick. I know he's just in pain and uncomfortable most days. He loves my dad. I've noticed he really loves most men. He's not afraid of strangers, unless he's cranky already. He's really brave. He likes to get messy, but thankfully loves baths. HE IS 100% BOY!

Morning

First we have the wacky bed head. All of the neighbors and family have witnessed this daily occurrence.
...and the dazed, puffy eyes.
