Back in Utah for good

Well I got back to Utah over a week ago to finish up with this pregnancy and be close to the hospital. I have only been in Utah for maybe 3 weeks total since april. I have spent the summer with Chris in Vegas and my family in Washington. The summer has blurred by, I CANT believe August will be here this week. I love summer and I'm sad to see it pass so quickly but on the other hand, I am relieved my due date is approaching. Someone asked me, "can you believe you are almost due?!" and I said "Yes, I can! Actually I cant believe I still have 3 weeks left." I am VERY anxious to have this baby. My due date is August 17 but hopefully he will come sooner. Addysin came 8 days early so I am hopeful. (Good news! I am dialted to a 1 and 50% effaced.)I am trying to enjoy this last part of summer that I have but its hard to stop wishing the time away. I officially am ready for the baby. I got out all the baby stuff and bought the things we need. It is so much easier to know what to buy the second time around, and thats if you dont already have it.

Here I am with my sisters on Jessica's birthday. We went to the Cheesecake factory in Salt Lake City. Yeah I know I look awkwardly unconfortable in this picutre. I haven't figured out how to pose around my belly.

Living the same life

This is me with my friend Anneka. We were roomates as freshman at college (BYU-I) and then she married someone from the area I am from in Washington. So sometimes I get to see her when I'm home. Anyways these pictures are just for fun. This is about a year and a half ago when we both had new baby girls. They are about 6 weeks apart and both go by "Addy". Here they are now with the same cute hair-do.
And here we are! We are both having boys and they will be about a month apart. How funny huh? She just had hers and I would love to be in her place at this moment.

Can your baby dance like this?

Here's another cute video of Addysin dancing. She is soooo much fun! She loves the big mirrors where she can watch herself. She may have waited to walk untill 16 months but she has got it down. She is just over 19 months now. Check out her swimsuit tan line. She has the most beautiful skin color (no thanks to me).

Time with my family

After the Lee reunion Chris had an extra day here in Washington so we were able to spend it with my family. Its the best being from the same hometown.
We just enjoyed the cool nights (very different than Vegas) and spent time outside.
Here I am at 34 weeksWe went to Scootney on Monday to go boating. The next day Chris flew back to Vegas. It was a really fun week for us. I am staying here with my family for a few more days before I go back to Utah to finish up my last 4 weeks of pregnancy (yay!).

Lee Family reunion

Addy LOVES her daddy!July 3-6 Chris' whole family came to Washington for a family reunion. It was so fun! We were soooo busy those 4 days. We went to a small water park one day, the guys went golfing while the girls made big wall clocks another day, watched fireworks, went to the temple, had family pictures, ate a lot, and got a little bit of sleep.

Here is Chris' WHOLE family
Chris' parents
This is one of the best pictures we got
Did you notice two more additions? Congratulations Tony and Becca!

Tony proposed July 5 to Rachel. They are getting married in October in the Rexburg, ID Temple. That is where she is from.
Also Becca and Caleb are getting married September 5 in the Columbia River Temple. He is from Arkansas.
Chris' sisters and mom making clocks. It was an all day project and we didn't even finish! I will post a picture of mine when I get it done. They are really cool.
Addysin the farmer. Taking after her mom.
On the 4th of July we watched fireworks in Connell. For it being a small town of 3,000 the fireworks were actually really good. Can you tell by Chris' expression? Its such a funny picture huh? Especially since he was taking it.

The month of June

I haven't updated for a while so here is what we've been doing. I spent 10 days in Washington with my family at the beginning of June. I made the trip especially for my sister who graduated from high school. It was so fun to be with some of my family and Chris' parents. Addysin LOVED being there. She had a big house to roam around in and lots of people adoring her. I loved it too. It was nice to have my sisters and parents playing with her. I'm just not fun all the time and Addysin gets bored with me. I know that is hard to believe :) Addysin loved being outside in the yard and seeing all the animals on the farm. She is a looker though, not a toucher. She gets too scared to touch them. If she built up enough courage she would pet the dog and kittens.

Probably the thing I loved most was going for walks with my family. I LOVE walking by the orchard in the evenings. My parents live by an elementary school out in the country so we would go up there. I hope someday Chris and I can live somewhere near there. I absolutely love the Tri-cities during the summer, its really pretty with all of the farm lands and the rivers.

My dad went for a bike ride one night while we were walking.

Chris' dad and Addysin

While I was in Washington I had 2 projects I wanted to accomplish, and I did! One was photoshopping our wedding pictures (see next post down) and the other was to make our baby's blessing outfit. It took me my whole last day I was there but I am so glad I have it done now.

I flew directly to Las Vegas from Pasco on Fathers day to be with my best friend (thats Chris). We were so happy to see him again and Addysin couldn't stop kissing him, it was adorable.

We spent the first night in The MGM Grand. It was so nice. Addysin even got her own Queen size bed! My flight plans were to only stay for 8 days but I figured what was my hurry to get back home to nothing, so I stayed for 2 weeks. It was so nice to be with Chris, but It was definitly really hot. It was usually around 105 degrees everyday. Being pregnant during the summer is definitly a big deal, which I thought I wouldn't even notice. The baby adds 10 degrees to any temperature. The worst is waking up at night sweating even when the house is cold and I'm not even using sheets. Another thing is when we went out in the eveing and you expect to step out of the house into cooler air, its not cooler. Still 100! I always felt so overdressed, expecially with all the skimpy Vegas attire. I felt like I was dressed for winter. Well I wont be going back to Vegas this summer because I am getting pretty close to having the baby and need to stay close to the Dr. and hospital. I will be going for one more trip to Washington though tommorrow for Chris' family reunion. I get there wednesday and Chris gets there Thursday. It will be really fun.

Here I am today at 33 weeks and 2 days. Yeah, not a very flattering picture but this is what I look like everytime I remember to get a belly shot and so I just buckled down I took one. Can you believe I still have 7 weeks left of growing? I cant. How can a women's body stretch so much?

Well today was fun because I got to spend it with my 3 sisters that live here in Utah (Kara, Amy, & Jessica). We went to 7 peaks water park for a few hours. Addysin really liked it and was happy the whole time even though it was right during her nap time. One thing I must say though is a water park isn't as fun when you're banned from the slides (due to being pregnant). The lazy river and kid pools just dont do it for me. Well I guess I better get used to it though because thats the life of a mom. Sorry, no pictures of our day because the swim suit shots just weren't so cute.

My photo skills

Chris bought me Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 for Christmas and I haven't been able to use it yet because my computer doesn't have the ability to cooperate with anything besides the internet (thank goodness for that though). It likes to frustrate me for fun so it shuts down whenever it wants. So anyways, I am at my parents house in Washington where the computer works. I have been spending a lot of time photoshopping. Our wedding photographer wasn't very good and didn't spend any time on our pictures so I have never had a nice one blown up in our house. These are a few that I tryed to fix up a bit. I still have more pictures I want to do.
I'm really excited about photoshop if you cant tell. Let me just say, our wedding day was the happiest day of my life.
I finally got to edit some pictures I took of my sisters last fall. (Chris also bought me my super nice camera for my birthday last year. He is so sweet.) This is Sara. She just graduated last Friday from Connell High School. This is Emily. She is in 8th grade. This is Ashley. She is in 6th grade.

Seven Peaks

Last Saturday we went to Seven Peaks for the first time this year with our friends Rachel and Braxton. It was really fun but we were only there for an hour and a half because I had to go pick up Chris at the airport. It was good I left though because I got sunburnt in that short time.
My sister Jessica works there, how fun huh? She was watching the wave pool so I said hi and snapped a few pictures.

My family in May

My parents went down to Southern Utah on their Motorcycle with another couple (Scott & Tamlee McGary) for a fun trip. They stayed at our house on the way back. It was so fun to have them here even though it was for only 1/2 a day. Here's my dad. Loading the motorcycle. Kara, my dad, Jessica, my mom.
I spent an entire day in Salt Lake at Kara & Amy's house just for fun. That was on memorial day. We went to Temple Square to try to find my cousin Brittani Bleazard that is serving a mission there. It was her preparation day so we didn't see her :( but it was fun anyways.
Kara's beautiful engagement ring. By the way, she is getting married Aug. 22 in the Salt Lake Temple.
Amy Dressed Addysin up in all kinds of scarves and necklaces. She LOVES being a girl.

Our weekend

Our weekend was so fun. Chris has been in Las Vegas selling security systems since the beginning of May. He was able to come home on Saturday afternoon and stayed untill Monday morning. It was short but so nice to have him home. Addysin has grown a love for her daddy. She loves seeing him after we have been apart for a bit. She used to get shy and hide on my shoulder (when he would leave us for a trip) but now she reaches out for him and gets so happy. We love having a daughter and being a family. Here are some pictures from sunday afternoon. We had David, Kira, their kids, and Jessica my sister over for dinner on Sunday. We had a huge meal that was so good. Neither Chris nor I have been eating very good since we've been on our own (apart from each other). Well he goes out to eat with the guys often, but I just snack all of the time. I dont really enjoy making food for just myself. Anyways it was fun to make a big meal again. The weather was soooo perfect sunday evening so we sat outside with the kids for a while. After they left we went on a walk just before it got dark.
I LOVE being with Chris.
We miss you already sweetie!

The Breakfast of Champions... cookies

Addysin and I went to bed too late last night and when she woke up this morning I wasn't quit ready to get up so I let her play in our room while I "rested". She was being so quiet and I paniced and thought "where is she?!" I looked over on the floor and saw her eating all of the chocolate chips out of the cookies that were in my purse from last night. She was so happy with herself.

I joined her and ate some of the cookie parts that she didn't want. Honestly, who doesn't love cookies for breakfast? Maybe I'm just a sugar addict.

Hoover Dam

Last sunday we drove about 1/2 hour to see Hoover Dam. It was really cool, and amazing that it was built in the 30's. It was a HOT day (like 108 degrees). Of course we forgot the stroller, but we weren't there too long and we had 6 different people to pass Addysin between. It was a fun sunday outing. I have never wanted to jump in a lake as bad as I did that day though.

Ok, a few facts:

It took 4 years to build
Lake Mead took 6 years to fill
The dam is on the border of Nevada and Arizona

Utah... I love being home

Addysin and I came back to Utah this week. We spent three weeks in Vegas with Chris. They were 3 fun and hard weeks. Due to her going to bed so late and then the sun shining right in our windows at 5:30am, and on top of that our bedroom situation (see my previous post for details), Addy and I got very limited sleep. Usually 5-6 hours was about all and we woke up every hour during that precious time. I felt like death every morning and evening. It was so fun to be in the sunshine at the pool and to be able to see Chris every morning and night. I also had some fun girlfriends there to hang out with during the day. The best part was they are in love with Addysin and would babysit her while I went grocery shopping or just took a nap! Thank you Jamie and Amanda Jo!

After getting such poor sleep and having a grouchy little girl everyday, I was a little ready to come home. I was so sad to leave Chris and maybe shed a few tears on the way home, but honestly what doesn't make me emotional these days. I knew this was what was best for us. And besides, Chris flew to Chicago that same day for the week so I didn't have a reason to stay.

Anyways, here is the cutest story. Addysin was asleep when we pulled in so I carried her upstairs and layed her in her crib. Just then she cracked her eyes open and was about to cry but then looked around and saw that she was in her crib in her home! She smiled and kicked her legs. I picked her up and she was sooo happy. She couldn't stop talking and pointing at everything. I can just imagine what she was saying..."mom, this is my room! Look at all of my stuff, cool, wow!" The funniest thing was she had to hold this random bear that is sitting up on a high shelf and she has never even held it before. She cuddled it like it was her long lost toy.

Ohhh, my little girl is starting to have a memory of things she loves! She loves her home and she has been sleeping like a gem! You know what that means? So have I!

Our funny little girl

Here are some CUTE baby boy clothes I bought a month ago. I usually dont love boy clothes as easily as girl clothes but when I was at Babies R Us everything was looking so cute and cuddly. I cant wait to put him in the two middle outfits because they are newborn size and will fit right off. The striped one is shorts, not a skirt like it looks. Aparently I was liking red that day. This is how exhausted Addysin was while we were in Vegas (p.s. we're back!). She has never done this before. I was doing dishes and she just layed down on the ground with her blanket and fell asleep. Getting her to sleep was really hard there because she would be soooo tired that she would cry and whine instead of falling asleep. I was so relieved when I saw her... it was one less thing for me to do.
The last week we were there I found all her favorite shows on Playhousedisney.com and she would sit there for an hour (at least) and watch. She wouldn't even press the keys. She LOVES "My Friends Tigger and Pooh", "Little Einsteins", "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse", & "Handy Manny". And I mean LOVES them. They are cute cartoons and not annoying. They also sing songs that she loves. Actually, she just loves any music.
Ok, look past the cute face and at all her wounds. First let me just say that I CANNOT take a shower without her bawling her eyes out because she wants in, even if I just gave her a bath 5 minutes before. So I have two stories, both happened this week.

1. In vegas we had a tub/shower and she would sit at the back and play while I showered (keep in mind that if Chris or I dont let her in she will try climbing in fully clothed). This incident happened with Chris. She was sitting there and a shampoo bottle fell right below her right eye and made it bleed. Chris was yelling for me and I was so scared, but it turned out to not be that bad. It surprisingly didn't swell up, nor did she get a black eye.
2. Then 2 days later, back in Utah in our stand up shower, she cryed and cryed so I let her in the shower. Happy as can be, she stood up and took a step on the slippery ground and face planted on her lip with her front tooth. The spirit told me it was going to happen 2 seconds before and I ignored it. I frantically dried us off and she was screaming. Her mouth was full of blood. I thought "how am I going to get to the hospital like this" (Chris wasn't there to help us). I let her suck on a wet rag and that helped. Then she suddenly stopped crying and was tasting the blood. She was nodding her head in approval (thats what she does when she likes something tasty). Her lip instantly had swelled up and she obviously couldn't feel it because she was biting it and making it worse. I have never been so thankful for the blanket she sucks on than I was right then. That was the only way I could get her to stop biting it. So anyways, it stopped bleeding pretty quick and she fell right to sleep. Thank goodness. By morning the swelling was gone.

Ok, you think she has learned that showering is dangerous with us? NO, of course not! She still crys like she is going to die through my whole shower. But dont worry, I dont give in anymore.
